Hi Mateus, Thanks again for your unswer. Two points. 1.- I was thinking in time series of T90 values in a point, for it is not easy to know exactly what the T90 values are from 2D particles figures.- 2.- Ok, with fine sediments and the way that sediments will influence the underwater light ambient a...

Hi Marcos, Yes, I agree with that expresion is test based and should work fine. Another question before going further with this point. Using the lagrangian approach, is that possible to know the T90 values calculates under the T90_VAR_METHOD ?. It seems that using the Eulerian approach it is, but I ...

T90

Hi Luis, In the Lagrangian module, variable T90 can be computed by two methods. Using Chapra's method (T90_VAR_METHOD : 2), k=(0.8 + 0.02*S)* .... In this way, at fresh water conditions, T90=2.3/0.8=2.85 day or 69 hours. However, it can happen that this value is a bit high. I was wondering if it cou...

Hi Paulo, I have performed several simulations with the new version. However I found: 1.- With the older one, particles are transported by the stream but remained all on the free surface. That is corrected in the new version. 2.- With the new version, particles are distrubuted in the water column bu...

ModuleMap

Hi Luis, We are starting a new implementacion of MOHID. After obatining the tidal gauges, appear the following error: Constructing : E:\\usr\\Works\\Mohid-SouthAtlantic\\Simulati ID : 1 ATAL; INTERNAL; UpdateImposedValues - ModuleMap - ERR08. Program stop anormaly. See Log file. Then in the log file...

Tide gauges

Hi,

I lost something for I can not create singe data entities in order to define tidal gauges points with the secuence \"Tools -> Add -> Add Points\".
In fact I do not find the command \"Add\" under Tools !!
Could you tell me where I am wrong?.

Thanks,

Ismael.-

Hi Paulo,

Thanks for your answer.
Two points.
1.- Your paper: I am not able to download it. It seems that the link is out.
2.- Could be it possible to obtain the corrected version of MOHID?

Regards,

Ismael.-

New Mohid version

Hi,

I have some problem with the new MOHID version. It seems to run properly, but a problem appears when post-processing. There are problems with the HDF file.
Any idea?

Regards,

Ismael.-

Hi Paulo, Another small question: when viewing results of the far field (results of the lagrangian module far-field, Partic X, Y, Z and Conc), the particles seems to be all on the surface, no particles are distributed in the water column, even if the temperature jump between difuser and ambient is o...

Hi Paulo,

Thanks indeed very much.

A last question:

How do you simulate a conservative tracer? Is that possible?.

Regards,

Ismael.-

Hi Luis, As a second point, after several trials, I have noted some problem with the temperature results of ModuleJet. In fact, using a outfall discharge with temperature of 21 or 25 degree in an ambient temperature of 20 degree, the results show a temperature plume with temperatures as high as 150 ...

Lagrangian and CoreJet

Hi Luis, A few question about Lagrangian modeling and Corejet: I assume that the diffuser horizontal angle is measured from the + x-axis in the classical way. i.e. angle=0 means diffuser parallel to the x-axis and that angle=90 means diffuser normal to the x-axis. Is there any way to view the partic...

Hi Luis, As a further step, we are modelling cohesive sediment transport using the nested model. When modeling suspended sediment transport, the model and nested model seems to be ok. However, when including the bottom interactions (i.e. consolidation, sediment geometry, sediment properties and the ...
