Re: Lagragian Module DT EMIT
Hi Cinthya, The model interpolates the concentration for each time instant based on the two closest values in the time series. For example if at hour 1 the value is 100 and at hour 2 the value is 300 then at 1.5 hours the value used by the model is 200. If the model is not reproducing well observati...

Re: "EMISSION_TEMPORAL : Instantaneous" and START_PARTIC_EMI
Hi,
only work for continuous emissions.
You can run the first week and then stop at the time of emission and then restart a new simulation from the previous one.
You can read more here:

Code: Select all
START_PARTIC_EMIT

Re: Some Questions
Hi, 1) It's not mandatory that they have the same vertical geometry 2) No, the Levitus bathymetry and geometry file are used to run the ConvertToHDF5 tool to make a 3D interpolation of the 3D Levitus data to your model grid. Re: How set up to delta temp.
Hi, Here's a sample on how to do it. You need to define 2 discharges: the intake (negative flow) and the outfall (positive flow). The keywords are quite intuitive. Let me know if you have further questions. Best regards, Luis <begindischarge> NAME : Pump DESCRIPTION : water INTAKE I_CELL : 10 J_CELL...

Re: hydrodinamics in cm scale
Dear Juan, Depending on what exactly you're trying to simulate, you'll need good boundary conditions to provide to your 25 cm resolution model. Regarding the piles/fixes structures: Regarding obstacle drag coefficients, MOHID considers obstacles as pillars. Water flow when reaching a pillar is disto...

Re: About Boxes
Hi, Yes you can integrate the results vertically into boxes. If you define a 2D box in a 3D model, the box integration result will be a vertically integrated output. You can also define 2 (or more) boxes so that for example, if you have 10 layers, you integrate the top 5 layers separately from the b...

Re: the format for orthogonal curvilinear grid
Dear Jie Yang, This are 2 different ways of defining your grid: If you specify your grid using a <CornersXY><\CornersXY> block, the model automatically assumes your grid will be curvilinear. If you specify your grid using a <CartCornersXY><\CartCornersXY> block, the model assumes your grid will be r...

Re: nesting: XY_component_L = 1
Hi Juan, For the first part of your question, more information on your files is needed. I have your files now, and I believe most likely you've solved this problem. Nevertheless for future memory and regarding the grid reference issue, please use a LATITUDE and LONGITUDE in the grid files that is lo...

Re: ConvertToHDF5 PROBLEM WITH GFS TO HDF5 Convertion
Hi Efrain, Sorry for the late answer. Which version of ConvertToHDF5 are you using. Most likely you're using an old version that does not even supports this operation (generic netcdf to hdf5). You may want to update to MOHID Studio http://www.actionmodulers.pt/default.aspx?canal=33 . In the MOHID St...

Re: Lagrangian Fecal Coliforms numeric Results
Hi Jader, You can use MOHID Studio ( http://www.actionmodulers.pt/default.aspx?canal=33 to do that, by defining the hdf5 layer (right click on the item on the layer list ) as Active Query Layer. Then select the "?" on the Map display toolbar (near to the zoom in and out) and click on a gri...
