Lagrangian tracer at a non-zero depth with wind transfer

Hi Florian, In fact, changes are happening in MOHID Lagrangian Module right now, to take in account the possibility of simulating floating drifters with a drogue at x meter depth, and still have the explicit influence of the wind in the floating buoy. After the changes, it is possible to have FLOAT ...

RE: Question about Oil Evaporation Model

Hi, The Pseudocomponents method is not working on MOHID, since the beginning. I should remove that method from MOHID, and afterall, this method requires too much input data. After I introduced the code, I added a new method (Fingas), and I never lost more time correcting pseudocomponents method. eva...

RE: OilModule question

Yes, From what I know, you don't have any problem using use MOHID's oil spill module in rivers, although you have to take in account the properties of the oil in freshwater. For instance, you should know OWINTERFACIALTENSION measured in fresh water, in order to determine dispersion, by Mackay method...

Re: ModuleOil not found

Hi Carlos, Well, I suppose you don't have any problem indeed. Oil Module is not activated in \"Associated Modules\" tab in Mohid GUI. In fact, you must activate oil module trough ModuleLagrangian. There, inside an Origin Block (<BeginOrigin>/<EndOrigin>) you must add a special block like this: <<Beg...

multiple origins in Lagrangian Model

Ok, J.C., you will need to define more origins, adding origin blocks: <BeginOrigin> . . . <EndOrigin> Oil Internal Properties will always be computed separately. However, you can plot their position together: Inside these Origin blocks, you have a keyword (GROUP_ID). You need do have the different o...

API gravity vs Density

No, J.C. right now MOHID only accepts inputs with API (American Petroleum Institute) gravity values, then MOHID will convert it to density. This option was made because oil density is function of temperature (then you would need to know the corresponding temperature too), while API gravity is not (A...

CPU's Benchmarks with MOHID Water

Some speed performance tests were developed with Mohid, using the project \"Samples for Mohid v4\" released 2003-10-21, and the executable \"Mohid v4 executable for Windows\" released in 2004-4-16 (both are available for download in http://www.mohid.com). Speed tests were made desktops with Intel CP...
