lagrangian particle sediment tracking

Hi !! I want to simulate the dispersion of a particle. I have defined my lagrangian file, and it work ok. The problen is that I would like to know how to get the X,Y coordinate of the particle when it arrive to the sediment, and then kill that particle. In the way that I manage to do it, the particl...

Hi, I am a Mohid begginer, so I am not sure about the answer but I thought that your error could be due to the round relation between faher dt and son dt. level 1 (father) model DT = 40 level 2 (son) model DT = 30 40/30=1.3333333 level 1 (father) model DT = 40 level 2 (son) model DT = 20 40/20= 2 Pe...

thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for your help. After reading some bibliography I realize myself that my domain was very little to model the pressure efect and that I must use a not homogeous spacial pressure data to get a gradient of sea level. After reading your answer I am happy to Know that I wasn´t wrong. I will t...

inverse barometer effect ¿how to simulate it?

Hi, I will like to simulate the influence of changes of the atmospheric pressure changes in the water level. I have activated in hydrodinamic.dat ATM_PRESSURE :1 ATM_PRESSURE_TYPE :2 And in atmosphere.dat , I have add the following lines : <beginproperty> NAME : mean sea level pressure UNITS : Pa DE...

Hi, I would like to know which of these examples is the correct one, or where are wrong. If I have an homogenous depth grid of 500m, and I want to calculate de velocities at, depth=10m,depth=80m, depth=200m, depth=400m, my geometry.dat file should be: <begindomain> MINIMUMDEPTH : 0.1 FACES_OPTION : ...

nested grid in a continuos simulation

Hi, I am working with a father grid. In this simulation I have one run that calculate the hydrodinamic during 4 days, after that I have other run that continuos from the last one. And that work perfect. My problem is that I want to use a son grid of the bigger one, not from the first run but the con...

now its ok

Ok, now it works.
When you use a 3D Temperature Data to assimilation data, you must only define the points where you have temperature. In my file, the land points have -9999, and that give me error.
I donw know if this solution it ok, but it work.
I hope that this information could help anyone.
