THOMAS3D

Hi, Colleagues: I am finding new problems which I didn't have in the old Mohid. One of them is the Instability in "Thomas3D". I am modeling a track of ocean certainly very difficult, with a rough bathymetry. But I have smoothed a lot the boundaries, there are no channels, I have more or le...

Re: Problem with Grid Data and use of 'construct from shape'

Easy.
Use the toolbox you have on the left of the screen. In the fourth row (Grid), you have the different possibilities. I suggest to start with "Constant spaced grid".
Good luck!

Re: Calibration of the tide

Hi, Cesar This is a real problem. If you are working at Spain, at the coast, you can find those data at the harmonic constituents at the tidal recorders owned by Puertos del Estado (REDMAR). The problem is if you are working abroad or in the middle of nowhere. In such a these cases, whay I use to do...

Tidal forcing

Dear friends From time to time we get some errors, specially in the Mediterranean. But this has surpised me. To check the results, I have included the results in ArcGis. Green points are supposed to be OK, I mean, like the one I show below. Red ones means those that are not OK, in my opiniĆ³n. The fi...

Re: Mohid GIS shuts down

Hi again: I could fix the problem and it is running now. If you get this problem, simply: - Open regedit - Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/services/PerfProc/Performance - If the value of "Disable Performance Counters" is "1", set it to "0" - Close and ...

Re: Again severe (157): Program Exception - access violation

I have found that the problem comes from the bathymetry file, I don't know why. The problem was the following: [*] I have built my ".dat" file - There were points of land and water, with some water points isolated [*] Mohid Water created the "_.new2" file [*] I renamed the new fi...

ActualizeSon3DWithFather2D

Hi, Mohiders! I am running a baroclinic modeling. Have made a father and a son grids. Father is 2D and son, 3D, to save some space and memory. I have succesfully done the same thing lots of times. But now I have get this error: FATAL INTERNAL ActualizeSon3DWithFather2D; Hydrodynamic. ERR14. :?: :?: ...

Again severe (157): Program Exception - access violation

Dear friends: I have found once and again the error referred in the title. I run succesfully a Lagrangian with boxes. Then I re-run, but adding BOXFLUXES : ..\..\GeneralData\Boxes_copia.dat in the hydrodynamics, to get the files showing interaction between boxes, and I got the error. I have seen lot...

I have fixed the problem, but I don't know how!. Simply, I copied the WaterAir file from an example, and it worked!. The file was more or less the same than the one shown. :o

Dear MOHIDers: I'm sure this is a stupid problem, but I get this error: "Property Not Found in Module InterfaceWaterAir wind stress X CheckOptionsWater - ModuleInterfaceWaterAir - ERR150" I'm forcing the Hydrodynamic module with wind (I had neither tide nor other currents) to compute a plu...

Hi, all: Is there an updated GUI, or similar?. I am getting problems with the display, at Windows 7 Ultimate. Buttons are all off of his place, and unseful, although they are enabled. On the other hand, last posts on the wiki show a different GUI. I am using the version 4.9.2, which Luis gave us dur...
