Re: Freshwater discharge problems - Salinity?
Dear MOHIDer, from your input data files, I can't see any problem. If I understood right, you want to reach equilibrium conditions in the Estuary. Please be aware that you can only reach equilibrium conditions if the boundary conditions are also constant. So if you would run the model with constant ...

Re: forrtl: error (65): floating invalid / pow_ct.c
Dear Christian, your setup is to complex to give a straight answer. It seems indeed to be a numerical issue. I recommend that you switch of all processes (wind, discharges, baroclinic) and start to switch them on one by one, so you can get a better idea where the problem comes from. When the model c...

Hello,
this most probably has to do with some multi thread options (and libraries) to use. This is always tricky, but surely resolvable...
Did you try to compile the configuration Release Double OpenMP?
Also try to check here:

Re: Discontinuities
Dear Adrien, if you discharge flow along a channel, flow should be constant, if, and only if, all water is routed through the channel. It may happen, in MOHID Land, that the flow rate exceeds the channel transport capacity and water is partially routed "overland". You can verify if this oc...

Dear Matthieu,
also check if you added the correct information to the ConnectionX and Y info.
If you switch to MOHID Studio, you will find a detailed user guide which explains how to display MOHID HDF files.
Best regards,
Frank

Dear Johannes, when you are using MOHID GIS you must run it as administrator, in order to have access to read / write on special folders. I beleave that you error is related with this. Re: Drainage Network
Dear Cecile, The error you get does not have anything to do with the downstream boundary conditions. It states that there is a mismatch between the DrainageNetwork you are using and the DrainageNetwork you obtained during basin delineation. This usually occurs in two cases: 1. Your basin geometry fi...

Re: Water initial conditions
Dear Ane, all, if you active the START_WITH_FIELD option (which I advise), the model will calculate in the beginning, independent of the Theta Value you provide, the theta values in a way that the soil water content is in equilibrium conditions above the water table. Equilibrium = balance between so...

Re: Non compute polygons
Dear Ane, yes, it's right. The accumulate values are only for precipitation (if provided in mm instead of mm/h). All other properties should have accumulate set to false. If you have 10min data, use it! The model will not run slower because of this (Model time step is shorten then 10min, at least du...

Re: Non compute polygons
Dear Ane, in the DTM, -99 indicates non compute points. They can only exist in the outer part of the catchment. You can't create "holes" inside your catchment. You are right about the calculation. It's only done inside the delineated area. There is a especial case. You can set the keyword ...

Re: Discharges
Dear Ane, in this case I assure that MOHID Studio does not have a bug ;-) I'm using this configuration since a lot of time and it works well. Please be aware that the Nomfich Files are only created, right before you launch the simulation. So after adding the Discharge Module to the simulation, the n...

Re: Drainage Network
Dear Cecile, you have four options for the downstream boundary. DOWNSTREAM_BOUNDARY : 0 -> Dam. No water passes DOWNSTREAM_BOUNDARY : 1 -> Zero depth gradient. Slope of the last reach remains constant. Works bad if you are using hydrodynamic aprox 2 or 3 DOWNSTREAM_BOUNDARY : 2 -> Critical Depth. Fl...

Dear Cécile, just one more input. If your problem presists, you can reduce the "TIME_STEP_SPLIT" in module Drainage network. This is something new I implemented and speeds up significantly model performance, but has the risk that you run into the problem you faced. So, if the problem presi...
