Reservoir

Dear Guilherme, ansers to some of your questions: 1. You can specify more then one polygon for Land areas, in this way it´s possible to surround the reservoir by land. You don't need a open boundary. 2. Yes, simplified equation based weir length, crest height, discharge coeficient and water level in...

waterpoints or openpoints

Dear Micheal,

waterpoints are all points which can potencially contain water and openpoints points which in a given instant have water. So the only difference between waterpoints and openpoints appear in intertidal areas (or dry areas at the border of a reservoir).

Hope this helps,

Dear Rudolf,

the CLOUD_COVER_METHOD is a global keyword. It should be placed in the top of the data file, but it can be placed inside the cloud cover block as well.

Hope this helps,

Dear Rudolf,

the reference density is used to initialize the water density with a constant value. This is usefull if you don't want to calculate the density explicitly based on temperature and salinity.

Hope this helps,

Hi Matthias,

in this case the model will expand the last layer. So if the water level would rise 2.1 m above you zero, the upper layer would become a thickness of 2.1m.

Best regards,
Frank

Dear Enric, In fact you can not use Geographic coordinates to generate a digital terrain. I order to use them, select \"Simple Geographic\" to generate the digital terrain. After generating the Digital Terrain you can set the coordinates to Geographic: open the the data file and change COORD_TIP : 4...

MOHID Drainage Network stability

Dear Wassim, 1. It's strange that your previous erro disapeared when removing the lagoon, since MOHID Land should be able to handle negative values in the DTM. The only thing you have to take care of is that you have to \"cover\" large water areas with polygons before removing depressions. If you do...

problem in Mohid land run

Dear Wassim, the problem is probably related to an error in a data file, some \"stupid\" parameter or to high time steps (numerical instability). You can try to \"output\" results with a high frequency, so you can get an idea where the solution starts to get \"stupid\". If you compile the code, chan...

Velocity vectors with new GIS version

Silvia,

you must set the maximum value under \"Color Settings\" from the Vectors Group to a \"stupid\" high value, so the range between minimum and maximum contain all data you want to represent.

Hope this helps,

Lagrangian hdf view problem

Dear João,

i didn't went in detail through your data file, but did you check the size of the particles when you render them. I asks this because in both, MOHID GIS and MOHID Postprocessor, the default particle size is set to zero.... you always have to change it!!!

Hope this helps,
Frank
