Pictures resolution and formats
Paulo, I addded the Tiff format and also the option for the user to choose the resolution, but there is no big change. Since MOHID GIS reads the pixel from the OpenGL rendering context no big improvments can be expected... I need to take a more closer look inside they way images are rendered / saved...

Rugosity Values
Dear João,
it make sense to initialize rugosity as a constant value, by 2D boxes or a grid data file (a file like the bathymetry, but instead of bathymetry values you will use rugosity values).
Hope this helps,
Frank

Dear Robson, sorry for the late response... With your statements you are basicly correct. Some comments: You can NOT run GRIDGEN as standalone application since all the code is incorporated into MOHID GIS. You can add a polygon to our MOHID GIS program by like described in section \"3.3.7 Adding Sin...

FATAL; INTERNAL; Invalid Coordinates
Dear Joris,
you are right. Thanks for your contribution. In fact, when creating a new Grid MOHID GIS doesn't assume any default coordinate system. I will see if I correct this with the next version.
Best regards,
Frank

Serious bugs in Mohid GUI
Guillaume, when software user tell me that a certain software acts randomly I'm usually careful with the answer, because probably these users have several difficulties to us computers at all... MOHID GUI doesn't work randomly. Surely you don't know how to select properly a run / simulation. For less...

Mohid GIS sample data
Dear Joris, sorry the late answer. My colleagues have been quiet busy and I have been to Brussels this week... I send you same MOHID GIS Data files by e-mail (not necessarly the ones from the manual). Soon I will post a new version of MOHID on the NET. Here I will include updated sample data files f...

Continuous Simulation
Dear Silvia, the error appear because you do continues computation with the hydrodynamic model, but not with the turbulence model. When you use the GOTM formulation (which appreently is your case), you must also to continue calculation in the turbulence module. So set the keyword CONTINUOUS : 1 also...

Huge Hydro File
Hi, usually we use the hydrodynamic file to record a simple M2 tide cycle. Afterwards we use this recorded file to run long term water quality simulation, forcing the hydrodynamic model with this M2 file. For this propose, in the Tagus Estuary we use a sparse grid with (usually) just one layer. This...

3D Images
Paulo, you are right, the problem is related to the type of coordinates you are using. I believe there is no workaround. 3D rendering in MOHID GIS isn't working properly. Only for \"topographic\" grid data files (no bathymetries) metric coordinates it is possible to obtain more or less nice images.....

Hello Hernani, it seems that everthing is OK in Barcelona. In order to answer your questions: 1. The problem with the HDF libraries is probably related to the version of libraries you are using. Did you try to open your HDF files with the most recent version of MOHID GIS? I beleave they should open....

Hello Antonio, a dual Xeon will be fine, but MOHID will only take advantage of the two processors if you are going to run nested models. A normal MOHID application is not (yet) parallelized. We will work on that in the near future, but probabily, within the lifetime of a computer you buy today we wi...

Hi Antonio,
one thing we stated recently is that the among of cache memory is important. So if you can arrange a CPU with 2Mb cache execution will be faster.
Hope this helps,
Frank
