Re: PROBLEM Creation a Tide with FES2004 and run-tide.bat

Hi Mariana,

I've ran the program with the data you've sent me and everything seemed ok. I've sent you the results by e-mail.

Maybe you need to download again the tide.nc file. Not sure of what is causing the problem.

Cheers,
Luis

Re: MOHID Postprocessor

Hi Màrius,

I'm not sure if I understood your problem. When you plot the data with the post-processor are you able to zoom out using the mouse (press the mouse left button and move it around). Right click to change the mouse functions.

Cheers,
Luis

Re: Problem in making tidal components

Hi, IF you already have the tidal data (sea level data) and you want to impose this to the model you can do it directly without having to convert it to harmonic components. Please take a look at this post for example: http://www.mohid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1025 Hope this helps, Luis

Re: where is the problem?

Hi,

This is difficult to tell without seeing the input data files and some explanation on the type of run you're doing.

Can you post some more info please? Thanks,
Luis

Re: ConvertToHDF5

Hi Liége, To convert from REF-DIF to hdf5 you cannot use the ConvertToHDF5 program because it is not prepared to convert REF-DIF outputs. I recommend that you take a look at ConvertToHDF5 source code at http://mohid.codeplex.com/ and see if you can adapt some of the code to read, convert and write t...

Re: Using a simple model to calibrate water quality??

Hi Tomas, I don't know if that is a very good idea, to use a very coarse model to calibrate the ecological model. Everything may indeed depend on the imposition of the boundary conditions. I'd have to see the model set up (both from the 1D vertical model and the coarse 3D model) to give you a better...

Re: Salinity variation for 2D model

Hi Lilian, Most likely the problems come from grid resolution and vertical resolution to solve the vertical mixing correctly and thus have the horizontal salinity mixing well resolved. What's the name of the lagoon? I can take a look and make a quick suggestion of the grid resolution you should use....

Re: Initialization of T and S using Levitus data

Hi,

You have to download the Levitus data from the Levitus website first and decompress it.

Best regards,
Luis
