Hi Paulo, I want to compile NOHID in Windows XP with Fortran Intel V11 running inside VS2008 in a PC with Intel processors. I think you mean with AMD processors. :D The compilation option \"optimization for Intel -> Blended\" existing in Intel Fortran Compiler 9 is no longer on IntelV11. T...

Hi Vasco,

If I understood correctly you want to reconstruct the tidal elevations from the harmonic constituents, is that it?
You can use the TidePreview program in the mohid.com website download area.

Hope this helps,
Luis

Hi,

I'm not sure, but I think if you define
OVERLAPPING_NUMBER : 2
you have to define 2 blocks <BeginGridDataInfo>... <EndGridDataInfo> defining 2 grid data files to do the overlapping:

IN your case you should use OVERLAPPING_NUMBER : 1

Hope this helps,
Luis

Hi,

The Courant number being infinite is because your grid definition in the bathymetry file is incorrect.

Can you open and view the bathymetry file in MOHID GIS?
Can you post the bathymetry file please so that we take a look at the actual file?

Cheers,
Luis

Hi Robson, Sorry for the late answer. ModuleWaves in MOHID does not compute wave parameters explicit. This module (apart for fetch-limited applications where it can compute the wave generation) works mainly as a way of reading the results of waves models (e.g. SWAN, STWAVE, etc) and impose their res...

Hi Sérgio, To create the bathymetry for a reservoir, first find an adequate topographic reference. MOHID bathymetry is positive. Normally zero is the reference water level, so you can translate the topography to the mean water level of the reservoir. In practice you can choose your own referential, ...

Hi Márcio, Normally this problem is related with instability of the model (check the max Courant number in the beginning of the simulation, should be around 4; reduce the time step accordingly). Also check if the model grid was correctly designed. Check also the type of coordinate is correct. Hope t...

Hi Paula, How many points do you have? Currently you can do it as you say for the tide, but not for the velocities (only for 2D applications). For 3D applications you'll have to generate a hdf5 file with an interpolated solution for you simulation domain and then impose it as a boundary condition. B...
