MohidGis versus MOHID post-processor

Dear Frank and Luís, I have a problem. I would like to do a color field where I only select a sub are of my hdf5 results. I can do that in the Mohid post-processing but I would prefer to do in the MohidGis (the figures are nicer). This option is available in the MohidGis ? Another thing in the post-...

Nuno, I believe that Luis is right. You must remember that the atmosphere module is 2D and the time series files are create based in the i and j numbers (horizontal cell matrix location). If you in the time serie location file define 2 time serie with the same i and j localiton but different k (laye...

Dear Ismael, sorry for the very very very late answer but I have being finalizing a paper that gave me a lot of struggle (now some publicity, you can see the submitted form of the papper in the site of MOHID Modeling Discussion Group http://www.mohid.com/hydrogroup/documents/Leitao2006.pdf ). I'm al...

The methodologhy that I'm using to overcome the minimum limit of 300 dpi imposed by the paper editores is in the % option for picture size I'm imposing 350%. In a second step I recize in the Paint Shop Pro the figure from 96 dpi to 300 dpi. The figure quality is not increase but at least I fullfill ...

Pictures resolution and formats

Dear all, when I try to same a image with mohidgis I see a box with the dpi resolution use (96) but I can not change this value. This a future option ? It would be a good idea to add the tiff format to the option of mohidgis. The formats available are optimized for the secreen but are not accept gen...

Hello Ismael, I'm going to anwer to all your questions: - About the angles you are right; - In the output file the lagrangian module by default there is only the far-field concept. You see the tracers emitted in the far-field. When you connect the COMPUTE_PLUME : 1 you add the near-field concept. In...

Dear Richard, just some ideias. In systems with very low dissipation rates (ex: water reservoirs, open ocean) all models tend to generate noise with a wave lenght between 2dx and 6dx. This noise generate vertical movements that tend to artifically destroy any type of stratification. This noise is as...

Hello luis, a agree with your analysis you need a 3D father model to give correct boundary conditions. My idea is not to put way the 3D father model but to create a 2D grandfather model that gives the barotropic fluxes to the 3D grandfather model as boundary conditions. You are talking of 2 nesting ...

Luis, another question is your coarser domain 3D ? If it is 3D I also do not recommend the use of a Blumber and Kantha boundary condition for a 3D model. My experience is that this boundary condition function for forcing tide in 2D models. This boundary condtion as the ability to let noise that prop...

Dear user, you need to be more clear with what you want. The follow sentence is not very clear. \"I don't know how to import the data with a correct format\". From your email I believe your are from China. If this is the case welcome to the Mohid users group. As a Mohid developer for me is very grat...

Hello Luis, I do not recommend using a Blumberg and Kantha (1985) open boundary condition in a nested model. What I usually due is to use a Falther radiation boundary condition where the local solution is interpoalted direectly form the fahter model: RADIATION : 2 LOCAL_SOLUTION : 2 In top of this I...

This is only a warnning. With the TIDE : 1 option you are saying to the model you want to impose in the open boundary a water level based in a network of tidal gauges. However, when you are running a submodel you want the option TIDE : 0 and SUBMODEL : 1 because you want to impose a open boundary co...
