Question About input data

Postby sabarbosac@unal.edu.co » Mon Mar 28, 2011 21:59

Hello.

Im confused about the flow (m3/s) input data.

IN (GAUGE.DAT) I HAVE TO DEFINE THE ENTRY LEVEL OF THE RESERVOIR WATER, AND IN (DISCAHRGES.DAT) I HAVE TO DEFINE OUTFLOW RESERVOIR?

IF YES HOW CAN I ENTER THE FLOW IN ( m3 /S) AND NO IN WATER LEVEL?

tHANKS A LOT

Hi,

I'm not exactly sure about what you're asking, but you can define the water level in the Hydrodynamic input file (accordingly with the bathymetry of the reservoir). You can define the input (river) and output discharge (dam) of the reservoir using the Discharges input data file. The output discharge is a negative discharge in m3/s. Depending on the type of dam, you can have overflow and there are some extra parameters for that.
