"EMISSION_TEMPORAL : Instantaneous" and START_PARTIC_EMIT

Postby ricardog@satlink.com » Fri Jan 18, 2013 19:14

Hi:

My idea was to start the run, wait a week to spin up the model, and then release the particles.

But when I postprocess (both in mohid GUI and in my octave routines), I see that particles are released at time 0.

I took a look at the keywords mohid wbpage and I see that START_PARTIC_EMIT has the conditional keyword
EMISSION_TEMPORAL=Continuous. I can not find an equivalent keyword for "EMISSION_TEMPORAL : Instantaneous"
¿Does it exists? ¿Am I doing something wrong?

My (relevant) configuration files are:

Model.dat

END : 2010 7 16 0 0 0

Hi,

Code: Select all

START_PARTIC_EMIT
only work for continuous emissions.

You can run the first week and then stop at the time of emission and then restart a new simulation from the previous one.

You can read more here:

Cheers,
Luis
