Latent heat flux (evaporation) conducting salinity change

Postby gerry.salamena@my.jcu.edu.au » Wed Aug 13, 2014 14:07

Hi All
I am Gerry and I just used MOHID recently. Currently, I am doing my project that investigates the influence of the atmospheric forcing (evaporation) to the distribution of salinity spatially. I have read Hydrodynamic module of MOHID and I found that MOHID can facilitate both precipitation/evaporation input described as SURFACEWATERFLUX. Furthermore, I've checked in pdf entitled "MOHID Description" stating that evaporation in MOHID is represented by latent heat flux input. My question is that if I want to see the salinity changes when I input latent heat data, is it by simply input the heat or there is another mechanism?

Thanks
Best
Gerry
