OutPutHDF_AditionalFields - ModuleWaterProperties - ERR50

Postby hernanitheias@netcabo.pt » Wed Jun 07, 2006 10:28

Dear All,

I am right now testing the first-order decay model for the water properties module and it is giving me some trouble.
I have launched simulations with constant T90 and everyting is ok. But when I put a variable T90 (method 1 or 2), MOHID gives the error message:
\"OutPutHDF_AditionalFields - ModuleWaterProperties - ERR50\"
It seems that it has to do with light extinction. I looked at the code but I don't have a clue. In the next posts I send you the relevant files.
Thanks for your help.

H.

Hi Hernani,

The reason is that yuo have to define this keyword inside the \"fecal coliform\" property block.

LIGHT_EXTINCTION : 1

This is not very intuitive, but I'll talk with who has done this in order to improve it.

I hope it works. Cheers,

Luis

CoupleLightExtinction - ModuleWaterProperties - ERR07

Postby hernanitheias@netcabo.pt » Wed Jun 07, 2006 13:53

Thanks a lot Luis, you're a master. After making the correction, when I tried to run the simulation another error apppeared:

'CoupleLightExtinction - ModuleWaterProperties - ERR07'

What I did was to add the 'cohesive sediment' property to the waterproperties data file, and then it worked pretty well, even results look nice.

Besides, I am glad to see that the T90 values are stored in the HDF file, this is really usefull.

Thanks again and see you soon. H.

Hi again,

The second error was because the type of light exctintion computing method you've selected needs the cohesive sediment concentration.

Glad to have helped. From extremely hot Lisbon, um abraço,

Luis

Best regards,
Paulo
The peace be with you
