nested grid and water properties

Postby marciapearson@yahoo.com.br » Fri May 04, 2007 12:38

Hi again!

I am trying to run a nested model with water properties (at the moment salinity, sediment and temperature) but I got this warning: \"1 can not access to father\" only for water properties, but the running does not crash.
Why does it happen?
Here is one of the properties:

Dear Márcia,

In order to run submodels that obtain waterproperties from its higher model your properties sould be defined in the following way:

BOUNDARY_CONDITION : 5
SUBMODEL : 1

Please review how your properties have been defined. Hope this have helped you, best regards,

Francisco

Hi Marcia,

The warning \"1 can not access to father\" is normal, and it is because there are zones where the son model has no information on the father model (mainly because in some cases the father model has land grid cells where the son has water grid cells). If this is the case in son boundary cells there may be problems, thus the warning; if not is all should be OK. In the end it is just a warning, so the model continues to run.

Best regards,
Luis
