bottom layer with constant thickness

Postby vvieira@ualg.pt » Fri Jan 09, 2009 17:54

Dear mohiders,

I want to run mohid upon a 3D discretization with a bottom layer of constant thickness (except where the depth is lower than the thickness!).
Flávio told me he had tested that in his thesis and that mohid has that option.
I think it may be done with a double-sigma domain where the bottom domain uses the keyword EQUIDISTANT.
Am I right?
Does EQUIDISTANT option has any conflict with intertidal cells or cells where its thickness is lower than the constant thickness defined?
Can I do lower domain with one layer constant thickness and upper domain with one layer variable thickness?
Should I add more layers and decrease the differential between the thickness of adjacent layers to increase stability?
What is the threshold ratio between thickness of adjacent cells for stability purposes?
Any other constrains?

thank you
