Bugs in MDT

Postby anamartin98@gmail.com » Tue Jun 22, 2010 09:48

Hi all
I'm trying to create a nested model, and I have problems creating the nested MDT.

The MDT results in some 'bugs' in the middle where no depth data exists. So, the MDT creates 'canyons' between those cells and the boundary deepiest cells. I've tryed to use all bathymetry points (from the parent grid), only the points inside the son grid, etc.

The bathymetry file looks OK, the depth values ranges between 1 and 3700 in the whlo file.

Any idea, please. I've spent one week trying to generate this son grid data.

Thank you
Ana

With the acronym MDT I mean Digital Terrain Model

Dear Ana,

It's hard to help, without looking at the data. Can you post an image or send it by mail to me?

Cheers,
Luis
