MOHID GIS BATHYMETRY DATA

Hi,
I''m a recent user of Mohid and I'm trying to build an example.
I've not found any example of xyz data and I cannot import any xyz file in the GIS module. It would be kind of you to say me how is the format or please send me an example. I'm sorry to find problem at the first step. I hope not to find too much troubles in the future

Hi Paolo,

Here is an example of the format of an .xyz file with some tide gauges locations:

<begin_xyz>
-9.1467 38.6867 0 Cacilhas
-9.4167 38.6917 0 Cascais
-9.1317 38.7050 0 Lisboa
-9.2917 38.69 0 Paco de Arcos
-9.3669 39.35 0 Peniche
-9.23 38.6733 0 Trafaria
<end_xyz>

So you have to have a <begin_xyz>...<end_xyz> block and inside you have to have X, Y and Z coordinates. In this example one finds longitude, latitude and depth.
After coordinates one can put a name (not mandatory), in this case one finds the tide gauges names. The extention of the file name must be .xyz .

You can create a new xyz file in MOHID GIS also, by defining a set of points in the window space.
