Hi!
I would like to reproduce the expansion of a particle in my area of study during g two years.
For that I am trying to implement a langrangian module in a submodel, and I would like to compare on the screen the apparition of the particle in this or this place (I have a list of the places where this particle appeared during these two years) .
My question is: how can I make this points appearing on the screen, when I have my simulation of my HDF file with the lagrangian particles moving? I have put my points on a xyz file, but I was thinking that perhaps the correct format is a time series input.

Hi Camille,

I suppose your data xyz points change with time.

I think you can obtain some interesting results if you open several layers of data in the MOHID GIS.
One layer contains the HDF5 results, which you can evolve over time. Another layer contains the xyz points. Make several xyz files; make one per time interval (you may have to carefully choose your time intervals).

Take snapshots of the overlapped HDF5 + xyz layers at several time instants in the GIS. You can then make an animated gif, or something like that.

Why don't you ask to Luis Fernandes or Frank Braunschweig? They could probably have better ideas than me, since they developped all the data formats of Mohid; and all their graphical tools ;)

Hi Camille,

From what I've understood you can use the time series format, with time, X and Y and any other variables, and open it with MOHID GIS (there's an option for opening time series).

Note that in the time series file you'll need an header in the line just above the <BeginTimeSerie> block tag, like this:

time X Y [other properties]
<BeginTimeSerie>

....


<EndTimeSerie>

After loading the time series file, go to properties, and select which columns correspond to X and Y, and which property you want to represent in terms of color.

I would like to ask you another question, I am trying to run my model with my lagrangian particle (this is the step before the thing I want to do in my last post), but I have a little problem in the keywords of the lagrangian module. is there anywhere where I could find them?
and the last question, the particle I want to track is a sealice (which tranposts a virus, the thing I really want to see). what have I to wrtie in Name in the beginproperties?

Hi Camille,

To access the keyword database please go to www.mohid.com and login in Members Area. Then click on the keywords button and select the ModuleLagrangian keyword list.

Regarding the name of the property, you have to use a property name which is registered in MOHID (see the full list here:
http://www.mohid.com/wiki/index.php?title=Properties_names

If the property is conservative (no sinks and sources) you can call it \"salinity\" for example in turn of \"virus\" or \"Piojo de mar\". If it's not conservative then it depends on how the \"virus\" behaves.
