Instability

Postby conchi.calero@ctima.uma.es » Tue Jul 17, 2012 09:07

Hello:

My name is Conchi and I'm writing if theres is somebody can solve my problem. I run a submodel and in the second simulation of submodel (the father runs well) until 50%, more or less, stops and appear this message:

I, J: 69 255
Error: Instability in THOMAS2D - Module Functions - ERR10

Perhaps is due because in first simulation runs totaly but I had a lot of warnings like:

The cell 240 13 1 can not access to father
salinity
.
.
.
and some of like this:

Point [i,j,k] not covered 72 255 1
.
.

In the second simulation I have warnings

The cell 240 13 1 can not access to father
salinity
.
.
.
too

Thank you

I have solved this problem changing the depth in the cell where was the instability in the bathymetry son (and in the cell nearest).

But now, I have another problem in simulation 3; in the screen appears

Courant Number is : -9.900000000000000E+015
In Grid Cell[i,j] : -9999999 -9999999

Now, somebody knows what's the problem?

Thank you again

I haven't solved my problem yet. I make a lot of changes in my bathymetry and now, in the simulation 1 of the son model (simultaneously with simulation 1 of the father) always appears instability in one cell and this cell belongs to a indicated not covered cell. So I thought to create a deadzone but I don't sure if it is the solution and I don't know how I must create this data file, 1 in the cells which I want it will be deadzone and the rest 0 or opposite? (with -99 in land).

Please help me, I can't not go

I have the same error:

I, J: 109 26
Error: Instability in THOMAS2D - Module Functions - ERR10

Someone has any idea why is this error?

Regards,
Katiusca
