MOhid water.exe not built for my processor

I was trying to do my first tidal simulation and I got this message:
\"This program was not built to run on the processor in your system.\"

I would expect several problems in the input data but the problem with processor appears before.

Any idea. Should I download anything else ?

Dear Enric,

This happens because in the MOHID installation package the provided executable was compiled for Intel processors, and probably you have an AMD processor.
I'll soon post an executable in the download area which will be able to run independently of the processor.

I've placed in the download area of the Mohid website an processor independent executable. Please download it, decompress it and copy it to the MOHID installation folder. Then open MOHID GUI, go to Tools -> Options and redirect the MOHID Water path to the new executable.

first of all, thanks for your quick answer. It starts working, so the problem is already solved.

Now I have a problem with FACE_OPTIONS ERR_40 (option 1 is not accepted, should be 2 or 3). I'll look for the solution in previous topics in the Forum and in the user manual. At least, I am closer now than yesterday. Thanks again

Very quickly, you should use option 2. Option 3 is just for special cases. I can explain it greater detail later.

i'm trying to run a Mohid Water in a AMD Turion 64 dual Core but i have installed Windows Home Edition SP3 32 Bits, in the begin the program tell me that the program wasn't compiled for my processor, i read in the forum a similar question, and a development person response, download a independent processor executable Mohid Water, I'm try but doesn't work

Hi,

You need to change the executable path in MOHID GUI -> TOols -> Options -> MOHID Executable -> MOHID Water

Change the path to the executable in the C:\\Program Files\\MOHID\\MOHIDWaterProcessorIndependent.exe

The processor independent executable in the download area of the Mohid website is for an old version v4.7...

Do you have a new exe (version 4.9.2) for a AMD processor?

Please go to MOHID GUI -> Tools -> OPtions -> Change the path of the MOHID Water executable to the MohidWaterProcessorIndependent.exe placed in C:\\Program Files\\MOHID

I follow instructions to solve the problem of processor type in running MOHID new versions. I have now this error:

Hi,

Can you post more information about the type of application you're doing.

Does this happen just after you have executed MOHID or are there any other messages written in the screen before this error message?
